who is caramelmadcchiato?
Would you believe me if I said caramelmadcchiato is short for Madi?
I am an avid reader and book collector with a passion for sharing book reviews and recommendations across genres, which led me to creating book content on social media. As an ex-specialty-coffee-barista with a caffeine addiction, caramelmadcchiato was born out of the love of coffee and dad jokes at the register. I may not be the funniest person, but I will surely be awkward enough to get a chuckle and give you a good cup of coffee.
While reading and reviewing books is my main passion, sharing outfit of the day content, heavily fueled by my clothing addiction, also brings me so much joy. As a 30-something ex-emo-kid millennial, I am living out my teenage fantasies of being a corporate goth at my current workplace, because self-expression isn’t something you grow out of.
My ultimate goal is to create a community that thrives on individuality and supports diversity.
Land Acknowledgement
I would like to acknowledge Native American, Indigenous, and First Nations Peoples whose traditional, ancestral, and current lands we stand on. The lands of many tribes including Osage, Kaw, Missouria, Shawnee, and Wyandot tribes. I honour the elders, both past and present, who had and have experienced the pains and injustices of colonization of their Peoples, and honour their bravery and strength of keeping their traditions alive for the younger generations to continue to learn from them. I hope we can continue to recognize and bring awareness to the ongoing struggle that Native American, Indigenous, and First Nations Peoples face every day, so that we can continue to learn and honour their strength and resilience.
